Heavy Trash Collection

Heavy Trash Collection for Urban District residents begins Monday, June 8 and runs through Friday, June 19.
The Department of Public Works, working with Priority Waste, will provide Heavy Trash Collection during the weeks of June 8-19 for all urban service district residents who receive Town trash/recycling services.
When: June 8-19, 2026 (place items on non-recycle week only)
What: Up to six (6) heavy items per household – *each item must not exceed 50 pounds
Where: Curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your non-recycle week
Note: Tires and refrigerant appliances don't count toward the 6-item limit

Special Requirements: Residents with tires or refrigerant appliances must call DPW at (317) 873-4544 in advance to schedule pickup.
Items NOT Accepted: Tube TVs/monitors, automotive fluids, fuel containers, propane tanks, batteries, paint, medical waste, construction debris, fencing, concrete, or landscaping materials.
